Interesting topics in 20th century Australian history?
For my assignment, I have to compare two decades in Australia in the 20th Century (1900-1999). We can choose topics like WWI/WWII, School Life, Food, Health/Medicine, Music, Women's Rights etc. but I can't seem to find much on these. Our teachers said if we think of other topics to negotiate them. Thanks so much!

How do I save downloaded movies to my computer to be burned?
I have used MP3 Rocket and can download movies, but cant view them, because most are in avi format. I downloaded dvd flick-which to my understanding can reformat it?? But I need to save the movie to the computer in order to use DVD flick to burn it. This may be a dumb question, but how do I save a downloaded file? Thanks!

Can't really stand in a kayak or Canoe but is cheaper and lighter to cart around to isolated spots. Tinny is heavier more expensive but more room and can stand to cast. Opinions???

What is a good short, boyish hairstyle for a girl?

My son spilt orange juice on our brushed slate hearth. It seems to have bleached lighter spots on the hearth which I have tried to get rid of with washing up liquid, with no luck. The surface is so smooth, I am not inclined to use anything abrasive as this would scratch the surface. Any suggestions?

This question is for people who have stayed in hotels / motels / serviced apartments on the Gold Coast (Queensland, Australia). I'm asking on here because I've noticed the star ratings for accommodation there have slipped and I don't feel I can trust them.

My daycare worker is good with my kids, but she's been bugging me lately about my kids.
Ok, so my kids eat mostly junk food-they don't like vegies and fruit much and they just have to eat one bite of fruit and vegie every day otherwise I let them eat what they want. I know other parents don't do this but this is my way, right? And my kids don't go hungry I fix them stuff all the time.
A couple weeks back my daycare worker started on me about my kids diet, and she's getting worse. She gives me all this pamphlets and stuff about kid nutrition. I told her already I know but I'll raise my kids how I see fit.

Ok I will be 40 in a couple of weeks and going through early menopause based on my current hormone tests and absent menses and symptoms. anyway I also got my Iron tests back and in one month it has gone from borderline low to very low, this is my ferritin. I find it SO difficult to get out of bed when I wake up at about 3-4 pm in the afternoon!!!!!!!. I am so tired it feels like I am about to die sometimes. Actual studies into neutering that lists NO cons?
I am so sick and tired of people refusing to acknowledge that there are two sides to the neuter issue. And before I get blasted - YES I have done rescue work and volunteered in shelters.
I understand the overpopulation problems but I do not think this current trend towards juvenile neutering is beneficial to the long term health of the animal.
When trying to advise people of the pros AND cons of neutering (especially juvenile) I have received abusive emails, been told that I have no idea what I'm talking about, been told that there are NO cons to neutering and that anything from the Internet is suspect so cannot be believed.
I'm in NO WAY advocating random breeding or that every animal should be kept entire but trying to point out that there are two points of view.

does high school drama help to get acting jobs?
combined with having an angent and experience or will it not matter about the high school drama thing?
Im trying to get some local acting jobs in australia but i cant find very many. I already have an agent who has shown me a couple of sites with work but there is never much on their for my range. Does any one know of any sites that have more jobs or auditions for acting, or any other tips ....JUST ANYTHING I WILL TAKE i just really want to get work cse i love it and it doesnt have tobe paid either

How do I get my firewall to allow Yahoo Messenger to utilize a webcam session?
When attempting to start a webcam session in Yahoo Messenger, I receive the "Sorry, you appear to be behind a firewall and are currently unable to use the Yahoo! Webcam service". This is odd because Messenger is on the Windows Firewall exception list and the exception list I have for another security application, Trend Micro PC-cillin. I turned off both firewalls off just to see if it would work, and I still received the same message. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?
