When attempting to start a webcam session in Yahoo Messenger, I receive the "Sorry, you appear to be behind a firewall and are currently unable to use the Yahoo! Webcam service". This is odd because Messenger is on the Windows Firewall exception list and the exception list I have for another security application, Trend Micro PC-cillin. I turned off both firewalls off just to see if it would work, and I still received the same message. Does anyone know what is causing this problem?
I'd like to add a photo of myself as my avatar on Messenger (I've got 8 if that makes a difference), but I still want to use my generic cartoon pic as my avatar on Yahoo Answers.
Is that possible? I've done search after search, and all I get is conflicting information.
