I majored in Business/Marketing in college and started working as an account executive at an advertising agency. I hate it. I miss working with numbers (math was always my strength) and have found out (maybe too late) that I am highly uncomfortable in the unpredictable, creative and sometimes too lax environment of the ad industry.
I recently attended a day-in-the-life seminar for finance careers and found that, given my personality and work style, I would be much happier and successful working in a finance field.
I can't afford to go back to school, and have no previous experience in finance... is there ANY way at all that I can make this shift? I know people change careers all the time, but I have no idea how to go about it.
